Affiliate Marketing
I started eCommerce with affiliate marketing through ShareASale.com in 2010. Since then, I have assisted other eCommerce companies like Market America, Ahold Delhaize, Food Lion, Avoli, Inc. (Formerly Synergy Digital Services, Inc.) with their eCommerce projects. It's not hard to imagine the amount of money one could make on selling products on the web. Be it an online mall, affiliate marketing, auctions etc. I have the experience to make it happen.
Bulk Loading DataFeeds
Through affiliate marketing between Commission Junction, Linkshare, ShareASale and others I had over 6,000 partner merchant stores. I at one time had over 13 million products in a SQL Server database updated through software I created in C# called Ingenity where datafeeds were automatically bulk inserted via around 4000+ spawned worker threads (parallel processing) maxing to virtually 100% ever core on the CPU. The system fans even came on while processing a massive amount of work at one time.
Datafeeds went from a 3 day load to a 3 hour load time. Ingenuity also downloaded all merchant images locally, compressed, resized versions of them and created .webp versions for those browsers that could render them which I determined through User Agent versioning. it all lived on avoli.com. My interests since shifted but I still own the avoli.com domain.
If at any point you decide to reach to me just know the area code I work within for New Hampshire is '603'. For Ecommerce assistance you will find my rates very reasonable for New Hampshire. Now just keep in mind my time zone is 'Eastern Standard Time (EST)' and I know the time zones in New Hampshire are 'Eastern Standard Time (EST)' in case you wish to call me. Anyway let me continue.
Branded Product Weighting
While I enjoyed affiliate marketing I wanted my own product line so I had Nutratin which was a Grace Seed Extract capsule. I also had my own bottled Sodas, Muscadine/Scuppernong juices and Jellies and Jams. This gave me the opportunity to tune Ingenuity to sort weighted by 'Preferred Brand'. Feel free to test out my branded weighting HERE. Click the 'Sort' option on the right of the screen and you will see 'Best Match' as my Avoli branded product. Notice how the sorts are done inline with no page refresh.
Quality Relative Search
So, how does one return search results that best match the users search pharase/words? First off, you know your product line. You know all the product Names and Descriptions. Therefore you know all known words that can be used in search from which you can create a unique product words list from. Now remove all 'Stop Words' etc. from that unique words list and you have a list of what you should allow. If any word in the users search phrase does not match throw it out.
Dealing With Wordy Search Phrases
For example - 'Hey, there Loren get to hoppin and find me some damn good chocolate preferably with nuts we can consume in my tesla.'
Now, that is one long search phrase! Not only that, there is punctuation and many non-product words. It works just fine on this site HERE. Try putting that in any eCommerce site and see what results you get.
Unique Product Words List
Imaging millions of product and the effort needed to develop a unique words list of all product names, descriptions. It is not as bad as you think. I have done it and surprisingly if you are good enought with SQL it executes very fast, cache it in memory and in a database table and you have a quick way to search a large comma delimited list of unique product words with IndexOf, Instr or any other form of quick search command.
Now, I have had hands on experience with all new technology. I chose for the proof of concept below to utilize 1996 technology to prove a point it isn't the technology you choose as much as it is how you architect it to show speed, agility, baseline functionality as well as relative search. So if I can do it in 1996 technology surely you can match it.

Simon - Proof of Concept
I developed what Google speed test tools used to say was the fastest eCommerce website they had tested. Click HERE to try it.
Simon had it's own custom caching mechanism which I developed and pre-caches vendors, catalogs, catagories, brands, filters and user past searches inclusive of pagination to memory. Simon also has relative natural language search. Type anything, typically Simon will bring back product relative to your search.
You know, I don't make it out to New Hampshire much but I would like to see the 'Purple Finch' state bird. I am a little familiar with the New Hampshire 'Purple lilac' state flower as well. However, I do not know much about New Hampshire's state tree the 'Paper Birch'. Fishing is fun to me perhaps I would like reeling in the New Hampshire 'Brook Trout' state fish. Anyway, sorry I went off topic. Let me continue.
Fast eCommerce Pagination
Let's face it, you can force another pull through Ajax or another page refresh or maybe even pull everything at once. For products up to 100,000 skus I have utilized my memory caching technique to store all pre-cached pages html. When rendered all pagination is there already with just the first page visible and all other pages hidden until the user clicks pagination where it unhides pages accordingly. The 'User Experience' is really nice with that approach. Now if you have millions of product I'd use other methods. Feel free to test out the pre-cached results with pagination HERE.
eCommerce Environments
Ok, we all know how to build out environments in IT. I chose to through my C# Ingenuity software to build out environments by day of week since when the nightly process kicked off. Oh and for those who want your datafeeds in XML try loading an XML datafeed with 11+ million products in it. You will find out quickly you should have just picked delimited for faster bulk inserts.
Customer Engagement - Digital Scratchoff
I have a working gamification digital scratch off (image rendered below) for those wishing to utilize it on their web sites. It looks and acts just like a lottery card scratchoff complete with a coin cursor.
You can test it here.

Customer Engagement - Spin Wheel
I have a working gamification spin wheel (image rendered below) for those wishing to utilize it on their web sites. Randomize the spin outcome or force it to land where you want.
You can test it here.

Nutritional Label (Pure CSS)
I have a working nutritional label (image rendered below) for those wishing to utilize it on their web sites. Great for those instances where you actually have the nutritional info.
You can test it here.

If you need eCommerce with a custom Content Management system backend I can assist with that as well.
