Imagine for a minute how hard it is to track music once it has been distributed in waveform, mp3, mp4 format via the web or CD/DVD media.  In 2000 I developed an ingenious approach to music protection through audio fingerprints and how the audio file was fingerprinted.

Digital Fingerpring

Let's talk about fingerprinting algorithms between left/right channels to create a unique fingerprint unique to each recording and distinct from it's original, in concert, recording on another date by the artist etc.  Each digital recording having unique properties still ensuring the same recording mastered on different dates remains unique.  The fingerprinting technique was ensured each recording was stamped prooving ownership.

Case Study

Back when Napster was having legal woes in 2000 regarding the non-legitimate distribution of music across the web I had developed such a mechanism to ensure audio was fingerprinted showing the true authored source of the digital file itself.  My fingerprinting method is full-proof.  I have a different fingerprinting technology that can be applied to any file.
