New Jersey Agriculture Software Since 2001

Use digital data capture to transform agriculture.

When you drive down the road take a look at the diverse agriculture settings around you.  From grass, desert, golf courses and farmland you will see a diversity which chemist and crop experts alike see as a business.

New Jersey Customers

New Jersey Flag

Some information I know about New Jersey is I believe the state was admitted or ratified to the United States around or about 'December 18, 1787'.  New Jersey is located around latitude '39.833851' and longitude of '-74.871826' and has a population of roughly '9,288,994 million'.  If I remember correctly the capital is 'Trenton' and the largest city is 'Newark'.

Agriculture Spraying

What is Crop Protection?

Above is an image of crop protection where crops are sprayed to promote growth, reduce insect damage and ensure food crops have higher yields.  When I worked at Syngenta I created Visual Basic windows software to manage salesman territories, data warehouses around crop protection services as well as web site development.  I also created libraries of reusable developer code and ActiveX controls / components which Syngenta developers utilized to turn around solutions faster.

Word of Mouth

Take a moment to read related case studies and testimonials below around my experience with Agriculture.

Case Study

When Syngenta needed software for their crop protection division, they looked to me to deliver a system that updated sales territories on a data warehousing system built by Robin Hooker.  I delivered a Visual Basic 6.0 framework to ensure all sales territories mapped back to correct postal zip codes and across custom geographic coverages.

"Eddie is great at writing processes that are reusable.  He was always looking for ways to improve processes."

Do Food and Agriculture go Hand in Hand?

Agriculture is the process of producing food, feed, fiber and other desired products by the cultivation of certain plants and the raising of domesticated animals (livestock).  The practice of agriculture is also known as "farming."  In addition, scientists, engineers, inventors, and others devoted to improving farming methods and implements are also said to be engaged in agriculture.  More people in the world are involved in agriculture as their primary economic activity than in any other, yet it only accounts for four percent of the world's GDP.

If at any point you decide to reach to me just know the area codes I am familiar with for New Jersey are '201, 551, 609, 640, 732, 848, 856, 862, 908, 973'.  For Agriculture assistance you will find my rates very reasonable for New Jersey.  Now just keep in mind my time zone is 'Eastern Standard Time (EST)' and I know the time zones in New Jersey are 'Eastern Standard Time (EST)' in case you wish to call me.  Anyway let me continue.

Is Land Sustainability Important?

I want to touch on conservation in agriculture which is vital to maintain the productivity and sustainability of America's working and non-working lands.  The USDA and other organizations are available to help improve and preserve natural resources which can in turn positively impact the profitability of operations.

Farmland

Many factors come into play when we building a sustainable, productive farm.  First is the soil, second is the climate and thirdly is the rotation of crops.  From year to year farmers are surprised and even disappointed with crop performance.  Chemist have found ways to ensure the maximum yield from crops.

Golf Courses

Whether putting or using a 9 iron golfers know how important the grass is to their game.  Golf courses know slower growing grass and the quality of the grass all enhance or take away from the quality of their courses.

Residential

Ok, if you have grass wouldn't you want a it green?  Wouldn't you want it healthy?  How about thick?  Well this and more come into play for a luxurious yard when grass is involved.  Especially important is the ability to have grass that is drought resistant or as close as it can be.

You know, I don't make it out to New Jersey much but I would like to see the 'Eastern Goldfinch' state bird.  I am a little familiar with the New Jersey 'Purple violet' state flower as well.  However, I do not know much about New Jersey's state tree the 'Northern Red Oak'.  Fishing is fun to me perhaps I would like reeling in the New Jersey 'Brook Trout' state fish.  Anyway, sorry I went off topic.  Let me continue.

Bill Gates

Ok, you may want to sit down for this if you aren't already.  Bill Gates is now the largest farm land holder in the United States.  Bill Gates has never been a farmer.  So why did the Land Report dub him "Farmer Bill" in 2022 the third richest man on the planet doesn't have a green thumb.  Well the 2022 era is dominated by the ultra-rich, the climate crisis and a burgeoning green capitalism.  I won't give my opinion here, just read an article on it "Why the world is storing so many seeds in a 'doomsday' vault".   In that article you will also see a reference to "Monsanto led the push for GMOs and patents on seed and life".
