Colorado MySQL Development Since 2012
Stay passionate about delivering innovative enterprise solutions.
My experience is MySQL is most popular with open source solutions while Microsoft development 99% of the time is still utilizing Microsoft SQL Server. Many major companies use MySQL, including Google, eBay, Amazon, Yahoo and more. So why are so many companies building MySQL solutions? Let's review its strengths.
Colorado Customers

Some information I know about Colorado is I believe the state was admitted or ratified to the United States around or about 'August 1, 1876'. Colorado is located around latitude '39.113014' and longitude of '-105.358887' and has a population of roughly '5,773,714 million'. If I remember correctly the capital is 'Denver' and the largest city is 'Denver'.
Why use MySQL?
MySQL is part of LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl/Python). In fact, it's very hard to find a Linux hosting company that doesn't offer MySQL as part of their base package. And since MySQL is included at no additional charge, it's friendly on your wallet. It's a great choice for many web projects.
For Hire
As you read what I have learned about this industry please know this is an area I have limited knowledge in but would like more exposure to.
If at any point you decide to reach to me just know the area codes I am familiar with for Colorado are '303, 719, 720, 970'. For Mysql assistance you will find my rates very reasonable for Colorado. Now just keep in mind my time zone is 'Eastern Standard Time (EST)' and I know the time zones in Colorado are 'Mountain Standard Time (MST)' in case you wish to call me. Anyway let me continue.
MySQL Is User Friendly
MySQL is sort of the Google of database management systems. It's very easy to use, especially when used in conjunction with phpMyAdmin. It's streamlined interface makes most database chores effortless. It really is a refreshing change for most MySQL programmers.
It's Is Fast
Speed is one of the defining characteristics of MySQL. It may not have all the bells and whistles of SQL Server or Oracle, but for most applications it has all the features needed. And since it's not bloated, it is very fast. For very large sites with millions of visitors, MySQL is a great option. Did I mention it was free?
It's Is Secure
Because MySQL is open source everyone can see and improve the source code. This transparency has led to database management system that is highly secure, and stable. While other companies have hundreds, maybe thousands of engineers working on their database product, MySQL has hundreds of thousands.
You know, I don't make it out to Colorado much but I would like to see the 'Lark Bunting' state bird. I am a little familiar with the Colorado 'Rocky Mountain Columbine' state flower as well. However, I do not know much about Colorado's state tree the 'Blue Spruce'. Fishing is fun to me perhaps I would like reeling in the Colorado 'Greenback Cutthroat Trout' state fish. Anyway, sorry I went off topic. Let me continue.
Limited MySQL Knowledge
Open source acceptance continues to soar. It's use in business production applications is at an all time high. My expertise is growing more and more but I still concentrate more on Microsoft SQL Server for databases.
Migrating from SQL Server to MySQL
You won't find good converters on the internet to go from Transact SQL to MySQL. GoDaddy for example forces their Microsoft ASP Hosting packages to have MySQL as their back end database and do not allow for Microsoft Sql Server on those Microsoft Hosting packages it is actually an injustice to Microsoft developers. Converting to MySQL is enough of a hassle that most will move away from Godaddy for instance because of this limitation. While I am not putting MySQL down it just is an aggrevation easily avoided by selecting a true Microsoft hosting platform.
Database backends are not as replaceable as many think. Not all SQL statments or Microsoft related SQL tricks will work with MySQL.
